| Blue Jays Bridle Indians, 4-2 | The Winnipeg Blue Jays stopped the Indianapolis Indians, 4-2, at Sailfish Ballpark. The Blue Jays got a big game from Yasmani Grandal, who went 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Trevor Rosenthal earned save number 29. Winnipeg is second in the Western League South West Divison with a record of 67-48.
Grandal contributed a big hit, a 2-run home run, for Winnipeg in the bottom of the fourth. With his team trailing 1-0, Grandal took a slider from Hisashi Iwakuma and stroked the home run to left-center. His 11th home run of the season allowed the Blue Jays to leap in front, 2-1.
"Baseball is about momentum," said Grandal, "and we feel we've got it in our favor after that win."
