 | Acosta Slaps 5 Hits Sunday, July 29th, 2018 The Glendale Gunslingers upended the Shaw Buccaneers at Buccaneers Ballpark today, thanks in large part to center fielder Carlos Acosta, who had a smashing day with the bat, racking up 5 hits in 6 at-bats. His big effort helped propel the Gunslingers to a 13-1 victory. Carlos Acosta struck out in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Marc Hearn in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI triple in the 5th, doubled in the 8th and singled in the 9th. Presently Acosta is batting .294 with 3 home runs and 14 RBIs. He has played in 31 games and scored 29 times. |   |
