 | Hartford's Lezama SL1's Best Monday, July 31st, 2017 19-year-old Jose Lezama made a few Hartford headlines during this past week as the rookie catcher proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and Sub League 1 officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort. He cracked 7 hits in 9 at-bats to put up a .778 average. Lezama collected no home runs, 1 RBIs and scored 2 runs. Thus far this year Lezama is batting .400 with no home runs, 7 RBIs and 9 runs scored. |   |
