Loss to Rough Riders Extends Connecticut Losing Streak
|
The San Juan Rough Riders racked up a win at Ballpark of Kansas City, bumping off the Connecticut Choppers, 4-1. Keegan Thompson, who started for San Juan, pitched effectively for his team. Teizo Murata, credited with the save, is now 29 for 38 in save opportunities. Connecticut now has a 6-game losing streak.
The Rough Riders got a big at-bat from catcher Matt Thaiss. For the game, Thaiss was 1 for 4 with a double. In the bottom of the second, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 19th double of the season gave San Juan a 2-1 lead.
"Been a rough stretch for us," said Connecticut manager Brandon Zima.
