Coyotes Lose, 7-4, at Blue Wings Ballpark
|
The Eugene Emeralds grabbed a 7-4 win over the Las Vegas Coyotes at Blue Wings Ballpark. Eugene first baseman Byung-ho Park was 2-4 with a home run, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once to earn player of the game honors. Josh Osich picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 1-1. Nathan Disch was tagged with the loss. Hector Estrada was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 33 of 38 save opportunities.
Park contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for Eugene in the bottom of the fourth. With his team trailing 2-0, Park took a fastball from Nathan Disch and stroked the home run to left. His 18th home run of the season allowed the Emeralds to leap in front, 3-2.
"It was a solid team effort," said Park after the game.
Eugene now owns a record of 57-82.
