Indians Shut Out Reapers
|
Regina pitcher Luis Severino gave the Indians all they could handle, but in the end, Indianapolis left Victory Field with a 1-0 win. Severino allowed 1 earned run on 5 hits over 5 innings. Earning his 5th save of the year was Jeurys Familia. The win leaves Indianapolis with a record of 10-11.
Ketel Marte drove in one run for Indianapolis. The slick-fielding second baseman had a key at-bat in the bottom of the fifth. With no one out and runners on 1st and 3rd, he broke a 0-0 tie with a run-scoring ground out off Luis Severino. It was his 12th RBI of the season.
"I like the roll we're on," said Indianapolis manager Matt Pressley.
