Finnegan Lifts Reapers to Win
|
Though the conditions were not ideal, the Regina Reapers and Nashua Pride came back from a rain delay to finish their game.
The Regina Reapers knocked off the Nashua Pride, 8-1. Regina starter Brandon Finnegan pitched well enough to earn top player honors. The Reapers improve their record to 17-25 with the win over Nashua.
Finnegan's performance can only be described as masterful. He notched 6 strikeouts in 9 innings while allowing 4 hits. Finnegan, who is tied for 4th in the WL with a 7 quality starts, goes to 5-3 on the year with 51 strikeouts.
"It was a solid team effort and we'll try to keep this momentum going," Finnegan told reporters after the game.
