Seawolves Lose Again, 5-3, to Pride
|
The Erie Seawolves extended their losing streak with a loss to the Nashua Pride.
Getting a good performance from shortstop Chris Taylor, the Nashua Pride defeated the Erie Seawolves, 5-3. Taylor was 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 doubles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for the Pride. The winner was Angelo Aguirre in relief. His record improves to 1-1. Jake Barrett took the loss. Andrew Miller converted his 12th save in 13 tries.
Hunter Simmons helped out the Nashua cause in the bottom of the seventh inning with a run-scoring triple. For the game, the third baseman was 2 for 4 with a triple, while scoring 2 runs.
Taylor called the win the result of "everyone being in sync."
Nashua has now won 5 straight, while the Seawolves have lost 8 in a row.
