Pride Fall Short at Regina
|
The Reapers had to overcome a fine performance from Nashua pitcher Collin McHugh to grab a 2-1 win at Mosaic Stadium. McHugh allowed no earned runs over 5.1 innings. Regina now has a 3-game win streak.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the 16th inning, when Regina first baseman Logan Forsythe, facing Diego Espino, had a run-scoring walk. It gave the Reapers the 2-1 win.
Afterward, Reapers manager Scott Boychuk was ebullient. "That was a fun game to coach," he told a group of reporters, adding, "I hope it was just as fun to watch."
