Choppers Raise Rally Flag, Beat Eugene, 5-4
|
Connecticut designated hitter Oswaldo Arcia played a vital role in his team's 5-4 triumph over Eugene. He was 2-3 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once for Connecticut. Craig Kimbrel converted his 15th save in 17 tries. The Choppers bumped their record to 37-29 with this latest triumph.
Arcia had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the eighth. On a 1-1 fastball from Chasen Shreve, he banged a 2-run home run to right, giving the Choppers a 5-4 lead. It was the 10th home run of the year for Arcia.
"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Arcia. "And not try to do too much."
