Choppers Top Bullet Club Behind Archer, 2-0
|
The Connecticut Choppers got a stellar performance from pitcher Chris Archer, who handcuffed the Richmond offense en route to a 2-0 win at Ballpark of Bullet Club. Craig Kimbrel locked down his 6th save. Connecticut now has a 3-game win streak.
Archer's performance can only be described as masterful. He notched 6 strikeouts in 8 innings while allowing 2 hits. Archer goes to 3-0 on the year with 23 strikeouts.
"It was just a matter of executing," said Connecticut manager Brandon Zima.
