Richmond starter Matt Moore pitched effectively against the Connecticut Choppers at Ballpark of Bullet Club. The left-hander led his team to a 5-1 win. Getting the save was Aroldis Chapman, his 9th. With the victory, the Bullet Club record now stands at 20-18.

In the bottom of the second, Xander Bogaerts hit a run-scoring double for Richmond. The 8th double of the season for the Richmond shortstop put the Bullet Club on top, 1-0.

"I'm just happy to help the team win," Moore told the Richmond Herald.
