EL Awards Player of the Week Trophy Monday, September 7th, 2020 At the age of 27, Xander Bogaerts might have some potential he hasn't realized yet -- if his success at the plate last week is any indication. The Richmond shortstop put up some exceptional numbers the past seven days with a .565 batting average. For his efforts Bogaerts collected the Eastern League Player of the Week Award. He racked up 13 hits in 23 at-bats, no home runs and 5 RBIs last week in 6 games. In 85 games Bogaerts is hitting .350 this season with 116 hits, 7 home runs, 42 RBIs, 41 walks, .422 OBP and has scored 41 runs. |
