Schooners Clinch Playoff Spot With Victory Tuesday, September 8th, 2020 Today, Avon Lake have officially claimed a spot in this year's postseason. The team punched their playoff ticket with a win yesterday. "I couldn't be prouder of this team," said skipper, Jon Oliver. "These guys worked their tails off all season long, so they've definitely earned this." However, the Schooners manager says he won't let his team rest on their laurels. "We've still got a long way to go to reach our ultimate goal and that's a championship trophy. So we're gonna celebrate and just let this all sink in tonight, but it's back to work tomorrow." |
