Vogel SL2's #1 Pitcher in July Saturday, August 1st, 2020 Over the past month Matt Vogel has turned quite a few heads. He's young, talented and able to pitch with the established arms in the Sub League 2. He proved all that and now he's been named July's Pitcher of the Month. The rookie for the Modesto Swords posted 4-2 mark and a 1.93 ERA. In 6 starts he tossed 42 innings, permitted 30 hits and fanned 47 batters. Up to now Vogel has compiled an ERA of 3.45 with a 7-6 mark over 19 starts. He has 132 strikeouts in 114.2 innings and has held opponents to a .253 batting average. |
