Free-for-All Costs Sturgeon and Walden 10-Game Suspensions Thursday, September 3rd, 2020 "I don't think I did anything wrong. I think my actions were justified." Those were the words of Leander's Cody Sturgeon after a game between the Running Rebels and Banshees, which featured a benches-clearing fight. The league did not agree, however. Both Sturgeon and the Banshees Jordan Walden will be suspended 10 games because of their actions. In 58 games this year Sturgeon has posted a .252 average and put up these numbers: 3 home runs, 21 RBIs and 20 runs scored. This year Walden has made 35 relief appearances with 2 saves. In 46.1 innings, he has fanned 58 hitters and recorded 4 wins and 2 losses with a 2.91 ERA. |
