Clawson Sensational, 5-for-5 Tuesday, September 8th, 2020 No matter what the Jacksonville Suns threw at him today, David Clawson hit it. He easily handled Suns pitching, going 5 for 5 and helping the Jets to a 5-2 triumph at Ballpark of Schofield Barracks. "The way I was swinging today, I think I could have closed my eyes and hit the ball," he told BNN reporters in the postgame interview. Told of Clawson's quip, Suns skipper David Bell said he "would take him up on that next time." David Clawson singled in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI double in the 5th, doubled in the 6th and singled in the 8th. This year Clawson has hit 2 home runs and posted a .232 batting average. |
