Red-Hot Rampage Reaps SL1 Reward Monday, August 3rd, 2020 22-year-old William Burton made a few North Battleford headlines during this past week as the rookie third baseman proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and Sub League 1 officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort. He cracked 7 hits in 23 at-bats to put up a .304 average. Burton collected 4 home runs, 9 RBIs and scored 6 runs. Thus far this year Burton is batting .209 with 12 home runs, 23 RBIs and 22 runs scored. |
