| Grichuk Hits 2 home runs in Schooners Win | The Avon Lake Schooners topped the Richmond Bullet Club by the score of 11-5, with the biggest share of the credit going to right fielder Randal Grichuk. Grichuk belted 2 home runs. He scored 3 times and drove in 5 for the Schooners on the day. Avon Lake leads the Eastern League North East Divison by 6½ games.
Buster Posey, who is on pace for 215 hits this season, aided the Avon Lake cause with a 2-run double in the top of the third. For the game, the first baseman was 2 for 5 with a double. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.
"We'll try to build on that win," Posey told the Avon Lake News.
