| Bullet Club Come Back Late, Nip Seawolves | The inspired effort of Erie catcher Matt Wieters was not enough to prevent a 6-5 loss to the Richmond Bullet Club. Wieters went 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 runs. Richmond reliever Mychal Givens picked up the win to move to 6-0. Carter Capps suffered the loss. Richmond is now 54-53, while Erie is 60-47.
Wil Myers was the walk-off hero for Richmond. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Bullet Club first baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"It wasn't our best performance," said Myers, "but a win in this league is nothing to sniff at."
