| Richmond Decked by Freeman, MuckDogs | The Fairview MuckDogs bested the Richmond Bullet Club, 10-2, at Stars Stadium. Freddie Freeman was named player of the game. He went 2 for 4 with 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice. Michael Wacha, the winner, improved to 8-7. He held the Bullet Club to 2 earned runs on 5 hits over 5.1 innings, while striking out 2 and walking 3. The win puts the MuckDogs at 47-62, while the Bullet Club drop to 55-54.
Freeman had a key at-bat for Fairview early in the game. With runners on 1st and 2nd, he hit a 3-run home run. It was his 20th home run of the season and gave Fairview an early 3-0 lead.
"Baseball is about momentum," said Freeman, "and we feel we've got it in our favor after that win."
