| Victory Pushes Seawolves Record to 62-49 | Erie Seawolves starter Patrick Corbin was definitely locked-in. He led his team to a win over the Raleigh Renegades, 3-2. Corbin picked up the win for Erie, going 8 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 6 hits. He now sports a record of 7-9. Carter Capps converted his 25th save in 27 tries.
The Seawolves got a big at-bat from third baseman Manny Machado. For the game, Machado went 1 for 2 with 2 walks. In the top of the fifth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 124th hit of the season gave Erie a 3-2 lead.
"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling pretty confident after that win," said Corbin.
The Seawolves saw their record improve to 62-49.
