| MuckDogs Stumble, Lose to Bullet Club | The Richmond Bullet Club beat the Fairview MuckDogs, 8-4, at Stars Stadium. The Bullet Club got a fine performance from shortstop Yangervis Solarte, who captured player of the game honors. He was 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. The winner was Zack Greinke, who threw 104 pitches over 6 innings. The right-hander was charged with 3 runs on 5 hits. Mychal Givens was credited with the save for Richmond, his 1st of the season.
Scooter Gennett, who is tied for 10th in the EL in total bases with 193, aided the Richmond cause with a run-scoring walk in the top of the seventh. For the game, the second baseman drew 1 walk in 5 plate appearances.
In postgame comments to the Richmond Herald, Gennett said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."
The Bullet Club now have a record of 57-55.
