| Freedom Edge Past Bats, 3-2 | The Mississippi Freedom did just enough to sneak past the Austin Bats, 3-2, at Ballpark of Columbus. Mississippi pitcher Connor W. Jones earned player of the game honors. Mississippi reliever Mike Morin picked up the win, bumping his record to 8-3. Darren O'Day was collared with the loss. Mississippi has a 3-game win streak, while Austin has lost 4 in a row.
Mississippi won the game in the bottom of the tenth inning. With two outs and Darren O'Day on the mound for Austin, left fielder Justin Glynn hit a dramatic solo home run, bringing Freedom fans to their feet.
