Choppers Fall Short, 2-1, at Richmond

The Richmond Bullet Club did just enough to secure a 2-1 victory over the Connecticut Choppers at Ballpark of Bullet Club. Nobody did more than pitcher Zack Greinke, who captured player of the game honors. Greinke went 8 innings to notch the win. He scattered 6 hits, walked 3, and struck out 9. His record improves to 6-15. Richmond now has a 3-game win streak.

Richmond took a 2-1 lead in the bottom of the seventh inning. With no one out, third baseman Edward Salcedo hit a 2-run home run that set the crowd abuzz.

"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling pretty confident after that win," said Salcedo.
