| Pride Fall to Rough Riders, 3-0 | The rain at Ballpark of New Team did not keep San Juan and Nashua from finishing their game.
San Juan Rough Riders starter Taylor Jungmann was in a rhythm all game. He led his team to a win over the Nashua Pride, 3-0. Jungmann, now 15-11, was the winner. In 6 innings, he gave up 3 hits, while striking out 4, walking 2, and allowing no earned runs. Sean Doolittle nailed down his 16th save.
Tied up with the Pride in the top of the fifth inning, the Rough Riders got a boost from second baseman Jose Altuve. With runners on 2nd and 3rd, Altuve saw a full count changeup from Drew Smyly and hit a 2-run double to break the stalemate and put San Juan on top, 2-0.
"It takes a lot of things to win a ballgame," said San Juan manager Don Dinsmore. "It's usually not just one thing."
The last-place Rough Riders improved to 70-77.
