Reapers Curb Rough Riders, 4-1 | The San Juan Rough Riders went down to defeat to Danny Salazar and his Regina teammates. The final score was 4-1 in favor of the Reapers. Zach Britton was called on to finish, recording his 33rd save. Regina has run its win streak to 4 in a row.
The Reapers beat the Rough Riders in part due to timely hitting. Case in point: the two-out single Austin Barnes produced in the bottom of the fourth. Batting against San Juan pitcher Taylor Jungmann, Barnes gave his team a 2-1 lead when he hit a run-scoring single.
Barnes said afterward that his team has grown over the course of the season, adding: "It feels good when a plan comes together."
