Late Rally by Freedom Secures Win | Mississippi rode a good effort from starter Marcus Stroman to beat the Las Vegas Coyotes at Ballpark of Columbus. The final score was 4-2. Reliever Jose A. Ramirez picked up the win. His record improves to 6-2. Blake Treinen took the loss. Mississippi is now 84-67, while Las Vegas is 82-68.
Brandon Belt was the walk-off hero for Mississippi. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Freedom first baseman hit a dramatic 2-run home run to send the teams home.
"This place was electric at the end," Belt said.
