| Seawolves Knock Off Renegades at Raiders Ballpark | The Erie Seawolves beat the Raleigh Renegades, 4-3, at Raiders Ballpark. The win was largely due to the efforts of designated hitter Maikel Franco, who captured player of the game honors. He went 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. Erie, at 79-71, sits in third place in the Eastern League North East Divison.
Franco contributed when he hit a 2-run home run in the top of the seventh. Coming with one out and a runner on 1st, the home run proved to be critical to helping Erie get the win.
"Both teams played hard," said Erie manager Terry Francona.
