| Schooners Beat Emeralds, 10-5 | Avon Lake and Eugene met in a late-season matchup at Blue Wings Ballpark.
The Avon Lake Schooners topped the Eugene Emeralds by the score of 10-5, with the largest share of the credit going to third baseman Neil Walker. Walker was 2-2 with a double, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2 for the Schooners. Avon Lake reliever Matt Shoemaker picked up the win to move to 1-2. Zach Putnam suffered the loss.
J.T. Realmuto had a clutch at-bat with no one out in the top of the seventh for the Schooners. Coming up with the bases loaded and Avon Lake trailing 4-3, he hit a 2-run double.
"Anytime we get it going, it puts a smile on my face," said Realmuto.
The first-place Schooners lifted their record to 88-64.
