| Buxton 3-3, Leads Freedom to Win | The umbrellas came out during the Mississippi-Nashua contest at Ballpark of New Team.
Mississippi center fielder Byron Buxton had 3 ribbies while helping his team defeat the Nashua Pride, 7-4. Mississippi reliever Jake Peavy picked up the win, upping his record to 9-11. Collin McHugh shouldered the loss. Mike Morin earned the save, his 36th, for the Freedom.
Also having an impact was right fielder Justin Glynn, who stroked a single in the top of the fifth for Mississippi. For the game, Glynn was 2-5 with 2 singles.
"I just try to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Buxton.
Mississippi, at 86-69, sits in second place in the Western League South West Divison.
