| Indians Fall to .500 After Loss to Rough Riders | San Juan Rough Riders starter Taylor Jungmann was in fine form against the Indianapolis Indians at Victory Field, leading his team to a 4-3 win. San Juan now sits at 58-97, while Indianapolis falls to 77-77.
The Rough Riders beat the Indians in part due to timely hitting. Case in point: the two-out home run Giancarlo Stanton produced in the top of the fourth. Batting against Indianapolis pitcher Wilking Rodriguez, Stanton gave his team a 2-0 lead when he hit a 2-run home run.
Indianapolis manager Ryne Sandberg said he was "mildly disappointed" with the loss. "We had our opportunities, but we didn't take advantage of them," he said.
