| Renegades Raise Rally Flag, Beat Avon Lake, 1-0 | Jaime Garcia could take little solace in pitching a good game. The fact is his Avon Lake Schooners lost, dropping a 1-0 decision to the Raleigh Renegades at Casterly Rock. Raleigh reliever Xavier Cedeno picked up the win, upping his record to 4-6. Jaime Garcia took the loss. With the win, the Renegades improved to 71-85.
Gio Brusa had the most critical at-bat for Raleigh. With one in the top of the ninth inning, Brusa hit a 0-1 fastball from Kenley Jansen for a run-scoring single. It put Raleigh in front, 1-0.
"I'll probably toss and turn tonight," Avon Lake manager Jim Morrison said following the tough loss.
