Pride Beat Bats in 11 | The Nashua Pride and Austin Bats put on quite a show at Ballpark of Brooklyn.
The Austin Bats got a superb performance from pitcher Jon Gray. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Nashua. The Pride won the game, 6-5. In spite of the loss, Gray was named the player of the game. He threw 6 innings of 5-hit ball. The Bats, now 80-78, have lost 5 in a row.
The most important at-bat for Nashua came in the top of the 11th inning, when center fielder Reymond Fuentes stroked a 2-1 fastball to center for a run-scoring single, putting Nashua up, 6-5.
"We're stringing together some nice wins," said Nashua manager Gary Van Tol.
