| Indians Use Late-Game Magic to Beat Pride | The Indians had to overcome a fine performance from Nashua pitcher Justin Verlander to grab a 8-5 win at Victory Field. Verlander allowed 2 earned runs over 6 innings. Jeurys Familia earned the save for Indianapolis, his 40th of the year. With the win over Nashua, the Indians improved to 79-80.
With runners on 1st and 2nd and no one out in the bottom of the eighth inning, right fielder Kevin Kiermaier delivered big for the Indians. Indianapolis was trailing 5-2 when he belted a 3-run home run.
"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said Kiermaier.
