| Seawolves Pin 4-1 Loss on Choppers | The Erie Seawolves topped the Connecticut Choppers, 4-1, in Eastern League action at Houston Grounds. The player of the game was Erie left fielder Mitch Moreland. Erie reliever Keyvius Sampson picked up the win, upping his record to 11-5. Mike Leake absorbed the loss. Erie is now 84-76, while Connecticut is 91-69.
Erie first baseman Eric Hosmer contributed to the cause with a 3-run home run in the top of the third. For the game, Hosmer went 1 for 5 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once.
