Renegades Come Back Late to Top Seawolves | Erie designated hitter Maikel Franco had a terrific game, but it still wasn't enough to get his team a win. Franco went 1-3 with a home run and 2 walks. He drove in 3 runs and scored once, even as Raleigh beat the Seawolves, 6-5. Franco was named the player of the game despite the loss. Brett Cecil picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 2-2. Branden Pinder was tagged with the loss. The loss drops Erie to 7-10.
The Renegades were down to their final out when first baseman Chris Davis turned a 1-0 slider from Branden Pinder into a 2-run home run. The walk-off home run made the Raiders Ballpark crowd go wild.
"Feels good to get the job done," Davis said after the game.
