| Coyotes Clip Reapers in Tight Contest | Fans who came to Mosaic Stadium watched the Las Vegas Coyotes and the Regina Reapers fight to the finish.
The Regina Reapers got a superb performance from pitcher Raisel Iglesias, but the Las Vegas Coyotes still won the game, 3-2. Iglesias was named the player of the game despite the loss. He threw 6 innings of 5-hit ball. The Coyotes, now 5-13, have not found much traction so far in 2019.
Both teams had trouble scoring runs. So, Jorge Soler's at-bat in the top of the eighth was crucial. With no one out, the Las Vegas right fielder hit a sacrifice fly, to give his team a 3-2 lead.
After the game, Las Vegas manager Greg H applauded the team's effort. "They busted their tails out there," he said.
