| Choppers Get Road Win, 8-2 | The Connecticut Choppers powered past the Florida Gators, 8-2, at Yankee Stadium. Oswaldo Arcia was 3-4 with 2 home runs, to lead the charge. Francisco Liriano picked up the win, improving his season record to 1-1. He struck out 8 in 6 innings. Earning his 2nd save of the year was Michael Lorenzen.
Connecticut took control in the top of the sixth. With two out and the bases loaded, Abraham Almonte hit a bases-clearing double to make it 5-2, Choppers.
"We did more than enough to get the win," said Arcia.
With the win, Connecticut pushes its record to 11-6.
