| Goldschmidt goes 4-for-5, Pride Move to 2-1 | It was a fun time at Ballpark of New Team, where the Mississippi Freedom and Nashua Pride tangled.
The Nashua Pride bested the Mississippi Freedom, 10-4, at Ballpark of New Team. Paul Goldschmidt was named player of the game. He was 4 for 5 with a home run and 3 singles. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. The Pride, now 2-1, have been on a roll in the early going.
The game turned with two out in the bottom of the fourth when Goldschmidt, the 15 overall pick in the 2016 draft, hit a grand slam home run. It propelled the Pride into the lead, 6-2.
"The boys were really swinging the bats today," winning manager Gary Van Tol said.
