| Coyotes Best Freedom in Pitching Duel | In a low-scoring clash between Las Vegas and Mississippi, pitcher Garrett Richards was a difference-maker. The right-hander earned player of the game honors for Las Vegas in the 2-0 win. In 7.1 innings, Richards surrendered 6 hits, while striking out 8 and walking 1. He allowed no runs. Even with the win, it has been a disastrous start to the year for the Coyotes, who once had aspirations of returning to the playoffs but now find themselves mired in last place at 7-17.
