| Seawolves Knock Off Gators, 7-2 | The Florida Gators went down to defeat to Carlos Rodon and his Erie teammates. The final score was 7-2 in favor of the Seawolves. The loss lowers the Florida record to 12-12.
The Seawolves beat the Gators in part due to timely hitting. Case in point: the two-out home run Maikel Franco produced in the top of the third. Batting against Florida pitcher Junichi Tazawa, Franco gave his team a 4-1 lead when he hit a 3-run home run.
"We had a nice day," said Erie skipper Terry Francona.
