| Pride Prevail, 6-5, Over Indianapolis | Benefiting from Robinson Cano's productive game, the Nashua Pride downed the Indianapolis Indians, 6-5. Cano went 2-3 with a double and a walk. He scored 2 runs for the Pride. Lance Lynn got credit for the win, improving to 3-3. He allowed 1 run on 2 hits in 1.2 innings. Andrew Miller was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 8 of 11 save opportunities.
The Pride beat the Indians in part due to timely hitting. Case in point: the two-out single Melky Cabrera produced in the top of the second. Batting against Indianapolis pitcher Mario Santiago, Cabrera gave his team a 4-3 lead when he hit a 2-run single.
"I know we have our doubters," said Indianapolis manager Ryne Sandberg. "But I still have high hopes for this team."
Even with the win, the Pride have a dismal 21-39 record.
