| Indians Come Back Late to Top Pride | The Indianapolis Indians and Nashua Pride played a tight game at Victory Field, with the hosts claiming the hard-fought win.
The Nashua Pride went down to defeat to Raisel Iglesias and his Indianapolis teammates. The final score was 2-1 in favor of the Indians. Indianapolis reliever Ken Giles picked up the win, upping his record to 2-0. Boone Logan was saddled with the loss.
Had Ketel Marte not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 1st, Marte hit a run-scoring double. That made the score 2-1, in favor of the Indians.
"It was just a matter of executing," said Indianapolis manager Ryne Sandberg.
Indianapolis leads the Western League North West Divison by 2½ games.
