| Rough Riders Win at Mississippi, 4-3 | San Juan right-hander Zach Kirby made an effective start against the Mississippi Freedom at Ballpark of Columbus, leading his team to a 4-3 win. Even with the win, the Rough Riders have a dismal 18-39 record.
Jose Altuve, who is tied for 5th in the WL in stolen bases with 7, aided the San Juan cause with a solo home run in the top of the third. For the game, the second baseman went 1 for 4 with a home run.
"We squandered some opportunities," said Mississippi manager Justin Zima.
