| Reapers Take Close Win Over Pride | The Regina Reapers faced a tough opponent in Nashua pitcher Jeff Samardzija, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Mosaic Stadium by a final score of 7-4. Samardzija went 6 innings and allowed 1 earned run. The win was Hansel Robles's in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Glen Perkins took the loss for Nashua. Regina goes to 43-21. The win puts them 3 games up in their division.
Regina took a 5-4 lead on Mookie Betts's 8th home run of the season. The 2-run home run came off Nashua pitcher Glen Perkins in the bottom of the eighth.
"Baseball is about momentum," said Betts, "and we feel we've got it in our favor after that win."
