| Indians SP Martinez Tosses Masterpiece | Today was Nick Martinez's turn in the rotation for the Indianapolis Indians and he made the most of it, shutting out the Winnipeg Blue Jays on 2 hits.
The 26-year-old right-hander led the Indians to an easy 6-0 victory, allowing 1 walk and tallying 4 strikeouts.
"I hope we miss him next time," Winnipeg manager Dan Courcelles said. "Martinez certainly pitched a strong game against us today. He was in a groove, throwing everything for strikes. Throwing hard. Changing speeds."
