| Donaldson Helps Mississippi Cruise to 11-3 Win | Benefiting from Josh Donaldson's productive game, the Mississippi Freedom downed the Indianapolis Indians, 11-3. Donaldson went 4-5 with 2 doubles and 2 singles. He drove in 4 runs and scored once for the Freedom. With the win, Mississippi has a record of 32-38. Indianapolis falls to 41-30.
Donaldson contributed a big hit, a 2-run double, for Mississippi in the bottom of the first. With his team trailing 1-0, Donaldson took a fastball from Jimmy Nelson and stroked the double to right-center. His 12th double of the season allowed the Freedom to leap in front, 2-1.
"We'll pop the top on a cold one and get back to work tomorrow," Donaldson said.
