Coyotes Solve Pride, 5-4 | Las Vegas played host to Nashua at the friendly confines of Bakers Stadium.
Nashua got a terrific performance from first baseman Paul Goldschmidt, but it wasn't enough to beat the Las Vegas Coyotes. Las Vegas won the Bakers Stadium contest, 5-4. Goldschmidt was the player of the game despite being on the losing side. He went 1-4 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Las Vegas goes to 40-30, Nashua to 26-46.
Had Kris Bryant not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 2nd, Bryant hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 5-4, in favor of the Coyotes.
"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Bryant told the Las Vegas Gazette. | | | | |
