Reapers Come Back Late to Top Pride | Fans at Ballpark of New Team were not deterred by the threat of rain. They came to see their hometown Nashua Pride take on the Regina Reapers.
The Regina Reapers defeated the Nashua Pride, 6-5. Earning player of the game honors was first baseman Paul Goldschmidt, who went 3 for 4 with a double and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3. Regina reliever Tony Zych got the win, raising his record to 3-0. Andrew Miller was tagged with the loss. Zach Britton earned his 22nd save in 27 chances.
The most important at-bat for Regina came in the top of the ninth inning, when third baseman Nick Castellanos stroked a 1-0 slider to center for a run-scoring single, putting Regina up, 6-5.
"We'll savor this win," Castellanos told the Regina Gazette, "then get ready for the next game."
